JESS MERCURI BEAUTY

I was approached to create a logo design for a beauty business that specializes in hair styling & coloring. My goal was to create a design with enough details to represent a beautician but remain from overcomplicating it. In the end a culmination of illustrative sketches depicting feminine figures + faces + wavy/curly hair + varying hair lengths + beauty tools brought the logo together.


For typography I explored various serif styles. Serifs are known for being formal and traditional, correlating with the professional and stylistic approach I was going for. A modern serif typeface, Bright Darling, is the chosen type face, favored for its artsy yet modernistic proficient look.
